What are the admission requirements? +
Publishing Class welcomes authors at all levels—from complete beginners to experienced writers. We have no formal educational prerequisites. We simply require a commitment to learning and a desire to become a published author. All applications include a brief questionnaire to help us understand your goals and recommend appropriate services.
Can I take services at my own pace? +
Most of our services are offered in cohorts with set start and end dates and live weekly sessions. This creates community and accountability. However, service materials remain available after completion for ongoing reference. Contact our team to discuss flexible options if needed.
Do you offer payment plans? +
Yes! We offer flexible payment plans for all services and programs. Payment options typically include monthly installments spread over the service duration. Contact hello@publishingclass.com to discuss specific payment arrangements for your registration.
What if I'm not satisfied with my service? +
We offer a 30-day satisfaction guarantee on all services. If you're not satisfied with your experience, we'll provide a full refund. However, 98% of our authors complete their services successfully and report high satisfaction.
How long does the publishing process take? +
Absolutely. Once you get started in a service, you retain access to all service materials indefinitely. Many of our graduates refer back to service materials throughout their publishing careers.
Do you help with publishing or distribution? +
We teach you how to publish and distribute your book, and can connect you with vetted professional service providers. We also publish select works through our own imprint. Our services cover all aspects of getting your book published and into readers' hands.
What's the difference between services and coaching? +
Services are structured group learning experiences with live instruction. Author Coaching is personalized one-on-one mentorship tailored to your specific manuscript and goals. Many clients do both—taking services for foundational knowledge and working with a coach for customized guidance.
How long does it take to get published? +
Timeline varies based on your starting point and goals. Some clients complete our Professional Editing service in 8 weeks then self-publish within months. Others take multiple services and work with a coach over 6-12 months. Our process is designed to be thorough, not rushed—quality publishing takes time.
Can I get a refund if I'm unhappy? +
We offer a 30-day satisfaction guarantee on service registrations. If you're unhappy within 30 days, we'll refund your tuition. After 30 days, refunds depend on how much service material you've completed. Details are provided upon registration.
What formats are covered in your publishing services?
We cover print publishing, ebook production, audiobook creation, and hybrid approaches. Each service includes hands-on practice with actual publishing tools and platforms.
Do your services include live instruction or are they all pre-recorded?
We offer both! Self-paced services are recorded for flexibility. Live cohort-based services include weekly sessions with Q&A. Choose the format that fits your learning style and schedule.
What is included in the author community?
Members access our private community forum where you can ask questions, share projects, get feedback from peers, and network with other publishing clients. Our instructors participate regularly.
How long does the publishing process take?
Yes! Lifetime access to all service materials means you can review lessons anytime. We also update content regularly as publishing platforms and best practices evolve.
Do you offer certifications upon service completion?
We provide completion certificates for portfolio use. While not formally accredited, employers and clients value our training. Many clients highlight completion on their resumes and LinkedIn profiles.
Are there prerequisites for advanced services?
Our advanced services assume familiarity with basic publishing concepts. We recommend starting with Foundations, but you can jump ahead if you have prior experience. Contact us if unsure about your level.
Can I get a refund if a service doesn't meet my expectations?
Yes! We offer a 14-day satisfaction guarantee. If you're not satisfied, we'll refund your full payment. No questions asked. We want you to get value from your investment.
Do you offer financial aid or payment plans?
We offer monthly payment options for most services. Limited scholarships are available for writers from underrepresented communities. Email us to discuss options based on your situation.
Will Publishing Class help me launch my own publishing business?
Yes! Our Publisher Track is designed for entrepreneurs. You'll learn to start a publishing company, work with authors, manage finances, and scale your business. Includes business plan templates and financial models.
How do the live cohorts differ from self-paced options?
Live cohorts include scheduled meetings, instructor feedback on your work, real-time Q&A, and cohort accountability. Self-paced lets you work at your own pace. Both provide equal service content and resources.
